Diathynil® Tablets: Indications and Price. Works?
Diathynil® is a medicine produced and distributed in Italy by the pharmaceutical company Alfasigma Spa, which owes its action to D (+) Biotin, a B group vitamin essential for correct cellular metabolism.

Therapeutic indications
Diathynil® is recommended for cases of seborrheic and desquamative skin conditions such as:
- seborrheic dermatitis;
- alopecia;
- acne;
- redness of the skin folds;
- diaper rash;
- cradle cap;
- generalized dermatitis;
- Leiner-Moussous syndrome;
- conditions related to vitamin B deficiency;
- glossitis with digestive problems.
How does it work?
Diathynil® is a medicine that belongs to the category of biotin-based medicines, an essential vitamin for the metabolism of carbohydrates, purines and lipids.
Posology and Method of Use
For the treatment of hair loss and excessive sebum production in the scalp, the doctor recommends first following a therapy with vials and then moving on to tablets. The recommended dose is three tablets a day for 2 months. For the treatment of other pathologies in adults it is recommended to take 2-4 tablets a day for the period indicated by the doctor.
Diathynil® is a drug approved also for children and in these cases the dosage is 1-2 tablets a day for the period indicated by the pediatrician. For children who are breastfeeding, the tablets can be dissolved in the bottle.
Overdose
There are currently no cases of overdose with Diathynil® but using the drug carefully and following the directions of the doctor, pharmacist or package leaflet significantly reduces the risk of overdose and side effects.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Can Diathynil® be taken during pregnancy ? And while breastfeeding ? The answer is yes, the drug is compatible with use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The medicine in tablets contains among the active ingredients: corn starch, stearic acid, lactose, talc, magnesium stearate. The drug contains lactose and could be contraindicated in patients suffering from intolerance. It is advisable to seek medical advice.
It is advisable to avoid the consumption of egg whites which could inactivate the effects of biotin. For any doubts about the possible contraindications associated with the product, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Interactions with other drugs
There are no known interactions with other drugs, but it is still advisable to consult your doctor if you have taken or are to take or if you are taking other drugs during therapy with Diathynil® especially if you are taking drugs or supplements with vitamin B.
Side effects
