Does masturbating make you lose weight?

Today we will talk about a subject that is still somewhat taboo even if we are in a decidedly freer and more modern era than the one our parents and grandparents had to face:  masturbation .

Stay calm, we don’t want to go off the topic we usually deal with, we will always talk about  weight loss , but today we will answer a question that many ask themselves: does masturbating make you lose weight ? We’re not kidding, it seems that some scientific research has investigated the slimming power of masturbation and all its benefits for the health of the body.

This particular masturbation diet was created in Japan by a famous doctor who would have discovered, following a long research, that masturbating makes you lose weight!

The doctor who discovered the masturbation diet is called Hideo Yamanaka, the director of the Toranomon-Hibiya Clinic. According to the research done by the doctor, however, it seems that the diet is more effective in men than in women because the male orgasm causes ejaculation which is able to activate the metabolism of the muscles allowing the body to burn more calories and consequently reduce the subcutaneous fat . Obviously, as with any diet, says the doctor, there is a need for dedication and perseverance in following the “exercises”.

The Japanese are the greatest lovers of particular sexual practices, and where, if not in Japan, could this particular and original diet have been born? Masturbation is an ancient practice depicted even in prehistoric works as well as those of the Greek and Roman era. According to the Egyptians, the masturbation of the gods was an act of creation to be considered sacred, in Roman times it was also a topic of satire and for the Greeks it was a very normal sexual act to be assimilated to common sexual intercourse.

Depending on the culture, masturbation has assumed the role of a taboo or an act that is not at all shocking. For the Christian religion, for example, masturbation is a sinful act because it causes pleasure that does not have procreation as its purpose. Furthermore, a man who masturbates disperses his semen which does not end up in the woman in order to impregnate her. To every culture the opinion of him! And the term onanism from which the Japanese doctor’s diet takes its name:  Onani-bics originates from the biblical stories .

Onan  is a biblical character who was the first to use the practice of coitus interruptus to avoid the birth of a child. Onan dispersed his seed and since then the term onanism means attempt to prevent conception. Exactly what happens with masturbation.

There is sexual pleasure, but without the risks of a twosome that could lead to conception. The Japanese doctor was inspired by Onan to name his diet.

How does the diet for men work?

As anticipated, the diet works better on men than on women for reasons of nature. Let’s see together what needs to be done to optimize the results. More than a real diet, these are  auto-erotic exercises . The doctor does not recommend particular foods (for this reason, talking about a diet is improper), but only explains what to do to lose weight and burn calories by masturbating.

It is known that sexual activity increases heart rate, raises the level of endorphins and helps burn calories, but does this also apply to masturbation? Well yes.

However, the doctor specifies that long periods and absolute dedication are required to lose weight using masturbation. To ensure that this type of diet allows you to lose weight you will have to masturbate at least 100 times a month, this means that you need to carve out time for masturbation at least 3 times a day.

It does not end here! The weather also affects the number of calories burned. A few minutes are not enough, but you will have to stay for at least a quarter of an hour. This is because the body needs at least 15 minutes to reach the effort necessary to burn calories. Only after 15 minutes or more will you have burned enough calories to start losing weight.

We remind you that this speech is especially true for men, at least so it seems to result from the research of the Japanese doctor. And for women? Hideo Yamanaka doesn’t enlighten us on this, but let’s see together if this type of diet can have some benefits for women too.

And for women?

We repeat that in this case we will not mention the Japanese doctor’s research, but we will still try to get an idea. Of course, sexual activity helps  burn calories  and the same goes for masturbation . So although it is a method especially suitable for men, do not despair, something is brewing for women too.

Thanks to ejaculation, men are able to benefit more from masturbation, but also in women the heart rate increases during masturbation (and obviously also during the sexual act). So why shouldn’t women also be able to lose weight (albeit less quickly) by following this diet? Think that on average masturbating for a few minutes burns up to  100 calories , without differences between men and women.

The same weight loss rules may not apply to women as to men, but there are still calories to burn through masturbation. At this point why feel discriminated against? You can still try. Remember that 100 calories is an average between the sexes and that a woman could burn a few fewer calories  while following sessions of the same duration.

Obviously, whether you’re a man or a woman, this particular exercise won’t get you back to your ideal weight in a flash, but by consistently following your doctor’s advice, you may start to see the first results. Let’s try to understand how and why we lose weight by masturbating . During auto-eroticism different muscles are involved such as those of the legs, abdomen and buttocks, therefore all these muscles will be involved in the contraction and therefore calories will be burned.

As anticipated, a session that is not too short helps burn up to 100 calories… this means that (even if you don’t follow the rules of the doctor who recommends three sessions a day) by masturbating even just once a day you will lose at least 3000 calories per month, or half a kilo of weight in just one month.

To conclude: does masturbation really make you lose weight?

Apparently the answer is yes,  masturbating makes you lose weight . Remember that all that glitters is not gold and that there are some points to clarify. To lose weight, you need to follow the rules imposed by the Japanese doctor, i.e. three masturbation sessions a day, and combine exercises with an active lifestyle and a healthy, low-calorie diet. Sitting around and fooling around won’t help you lose weight. Nor will you be able to use this diet as an excuse to gorge on junk food, you would risk nullifying all the efforts made.

If you are unable to diligently follow  the rules imposed by the Japanese doctor, don’t worry, you can try to combine the particular diet with other exercises as well. In this way you will optimize your weight loss without necessarily having to find all the necessary moments to dedicate yourself to the exercise of masturbation. Remember that even fifteen minutes of sustained running a day can help you lose weight in a healthy and constant way. Combining fifteen minutes of running with even just one of the sessions recommended by the doctor can seriously help you get back into physical shape. We remind you again that to lose weight you will need attention and perseverance and also to make some sacrifices, but in this case you will have a nice reward!

Not even the masturbation diet is miraculous , no diet allows you to lose weight effortlessly and without dedication, so even in this case you will have to arm yourself with patience! If you do the exercises with your partner you will certainly be able to be more constant and motivated.
