FoodSpring Protein Cream: Opinions, Review and Price
Although until recently protein meals were a product intended for those who practiced body-building, today more and more people are opting for this type of diet, preferring targeted products even for moments of sweet tooth. In this guide I want to talk about a spreadable cream rich in proteins: the Foodspring Protein Cream (or rather the Protein Creams).
They are protein creams that contain very little sugar and are rich in protein, perfect for not giving up on pleasure without gaining weight.
Why are they different from commercial ones? What do they contain? How much do they cost? Read on, you will find all the opinions on the product.
What does it contain?
Let’s start immediately to check the composition and ingredients of this spreadable cream. Here we are referring to the hazelnut one but the brand has also recently launched the coconut flavors and the hazelnut-whey protein duo.
The ingredients are:
- sweetener (maltitol);
- whey protein concentrate (22%);
- sunflower oil;
- hazelnuts (13%);
- sweet whey powder;
- skimmed cocoa powder;
- cocoa butter;
- coconut oil;
- emulsifier (sunflower lecithin);
- natural vanilla flavor.
As the fatty part of the cream we find coconut oil which brings significant benefits to the body, compared to other vegetable oils such as palm oil which is used in many spreadable creams.
The company is environmentally conscious and tries not to foment the destruction of the rainforest in Asia, with consequent elimination of the natural habitat of many animal species. Despite this, this product is very creamy, as sunflower oil, cocoa butter and coconut oil are used.
Furthermore, it contains up to 85% less sugar, but this does not affect the goodness, since maltitol makes foods sweet by providing significantly fewer calories than sugar.
When to consume it? Some advices
This protein cream is ideal for breakfast and you can spread it on bread or pancakes. You can use it to fill sweets, garnish fruit or eat it as it is when you crave something sweet.
In fact, as already mentioned, the Protein Cream is sweetened with maltitol which has a degree of sweetness equal to 75-80% of sugar, although it has a much lower calorie content.
But be careful: if you are following a low- calorie diet , you must avoid taking too much hazelnut cream because 15 grams of product still provide 78 kcal.
Weight loss: can I treat myself to the cream?
Also in this case the solution is certainly to consult a nutrition expert who can guide you in the weight loss process, especially if you have to lose a lot of weight. The idea of including this product as part of a food plan is not wrong a priori but it is necessary to weigh the calories that will be consumed throughout the day.
However, it is also true that this product is certainly healthier than many others, precisely because it contains less sugars and carbohydrates, and more proteins that help you achieve your goals of increasing muscle mass.
Analyzing the nutritional composition of FoodSpring’s Protein Cream we can easily say that it is much better than that of standard hazelnut cream: fewer calories obtained from sugar, more calories deriving from proteins and saturated fats. In other words: calories that the body can use in the long run and that are not accumulated as happens with other sweet creams.
Therefore, its consumption can be contemplated as part of a slimming diet as long as it is carefully managed.
Where to buy the cream? How much?
If you want to buy FoodSpring’s Protein Cream you can do it directly from the manufacturer’s official website.

- hazelnut and whey protein.

Opinions
All of Foodspring’s protein spreads have a very pleasant taste and are not very sweet when compared to the taste of other spreads you can find in the supermarket.
Obviously, the comparison with the most famous hazelnut cream in the world is not feasible because we are talking about two products that have decidedly different purposes and ingredients.
Even in cooking it preserves its taste without altering, so we can use it to make cakes or biscuits. It has good spreadability but it may happen that the cream hardens due to the cold. In this case, just heat it gently in a bain-marie to reach the desired consistency in a few minutes.
The cream goes well with other products that you can find on the official FoodSpring website:
