Rinazina® is a medicine that is typically used for the treatment of:
- acute catarrhal rhinitis;
- allergic rhinitis;

How does it work?
Rinazina® is a medicine that belongs to the category of sympathomimetics with a high vasoconstrictive action. The drug applied topically acts as a decongestant of the nasopharyngeal mucous membranes, it generally acts within a few minutes and its action lasts about 4-6 hours.
Posology and Method of Use
For treatment with Rinazina® nasal spray, the following dosage must be followed. 1 or 2 sprays in each nostril 2 or 3 times a day. The drug is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
For the first application, press the dispenser two or three times to activate the pump. The bottle should be kept upright. Do not follow the treatment for more than a week.
For the treatment with Rinazina® nasal drops the drug should be used as follows. In adults: 2 or 3 drops in each nostril 2 or 3 times a day.
Patients suffering from renal insufficiency and in the case of the presence of hepatic insufficiency there are no specific instructions. However, it is advisable to consult your doctor before taking the drug.
Overdose
Like other medicines, Rinazina® can also cause symptoms of an overdose . In case of an overdose, symptoms such as:
- hypertension;
- tachycardia;
- headache;
- photophobia;
- sense of heaviness in the chest.
In children, the symptoms of an overdose are:
- hypothermia;
- severe central nervous system depression;
- sedation;
Paying attention to the recommended doses reduces the risk of overdose. An overdose of the drug, even if it is a product administered topically and for periods of time, can give rise to serious systemic effects. In case of accidental ingestion of the drug, consult your doctor or go to the nearest hospital.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Concerning the use of the product during pregnancy and breastfeeding , seek medical advice. The drugs, during pregnancy and lactation, must be taken only with the consent of the doctor.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in cases of severe heart disease and severe arterial hypertension, glaucoma and hyperthyroidism. Not to be used in children under 12 years of age.
